Italy Update

Today the group departed the hotel around 10.30am for a guided tour of Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel. After a two hour walk through the museum they had some time to explore around the biggest cathedral in the world, St. Peter’s Basilica. Around 2.30pm the group met back up for lunch at Papa Rex’s for a pregame meal.
The Women’s North Team played against the Latina team from the B2 Level. They jumped out to an early 14 point lead but ended up falling behind early in the 4th quarter falling behind by as many as 5. They battle back to take the lead but couldn’t hold on and ended up with losing 55-51.
The Men’s team also played in Latina vs. the B 2 level team. AIST jumped out to an early 17-4 lead but the Latina club made it game pulling within 4. AIST picked up the past and carried a 9 point lead for most of the game until they finally pulled away to open their tour with a 91-71 victory.
AIST South jumped out to a 42-29 half-time lead over Roma Sistemi Pomezia and cruised on to an 18 point vicorty. The South team played an up tempo style in the 77-59 victory.
Thursday – Travel Day – Arrived in San Marino for Dinner at the Grand Hotel.
