Dear Chad,
The Stonehill College Women’s and Men’s Basketball Programs recently returned from our trip abroad to Italy. It was an action-packed 10 days that afforded our student-athletes, coaches, family members, and friends the opportunity of a lifetime. Being exposed to the culture, art, history, and architecture of the Italian communities we visited has provided a lasting impression for each individual on the tour.
We were quite impressed with all of the people who helped to make this tour possible. Our tour guides, driver and bi-lingual guides made every effort to ensure a positive experience for our group. There were numerous instances when they went out of their way to make us feel at home in their country.
Being so well taken care of allowed the coaching staff the desired balance between focusing on the sights, as well as the players. Also, it provided the players with ample time to spend with each other and begin the bonding process for our upcoming seasons. The trip will certainly be a building-block as we move forward into our pre-season.
Thank you again for all of the efforts that you, and AIST, put into our tour. Your availability and ability to work with us to help meet our expectations was first rate. The communication levels were very strong and we had a solid understanding of what to expect during our time abroad. We both highly recommend AIST to anyone wanting to provide his or her team with the special experience of international travel.
