Mid-Late June, 2010 – 9 day tour
Tentative Itinerary

Day Event
1 Depart New York Airport on schedule airline.
2 Arrive Berlin to meet your AIST tour representative. Transfer to the city center to enjoy a walk around the city. In the afternoon, a practice or exhibition game will be schedule. In the evening, check into the hotel and a welcome dinner. Overnight in Berlin area.
3 Depart for guide tour of Berlin. Your local tour guide will provide a 2 hour tour of the city center and top attractions to visit. You’ll have free time to explore the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Blvd and the Kurfurstendamm. You can’t know Berlin until you’ve strolled the Ku’damm, that glossy, store-lined showcase of western capitalism, or Unter den Linden, the Prussian centerpiece of the Berlin-Mitte district. Game vs. Local club in the evening.
4 After breakfast you can spend the day at the Alexanderplatz. The Alexanderplatz, named for Russian Czar Alexander I, was the center of activity in the old East Berlin. This square has brightened considerably since reunification, though aesthetically speaking it’s got a long way to go. Neon lights and bright murals now coexist alongside the dull and fading GDR-era structures, and street musicians and small markets give the area new life. Other options include Checkpoint Charlie, Fernsehturm as well as many museums and attractions. Game in the evening vs. local club.
5 After breakfast, depart for Prague, Czech Republic. Upon arrival, you will have a guided tour of Prague including Astronomical clock, Charles bridge and the Jewish Quarters of Old Town. Optional tours of Torture Museum or take a cruise on a sightseeing boat around Prague. Tournament Begins. Overnight in Prague.
6 Transfer to the city centre to explore your surroundings. Tournament continues. Overnight in Prague.
7 Today you will have time to explore Hardcany Castle. Prague Castle is the most popular sight visited in Prague. It is the largest ancient castle in the world (570 m long, on average 128 m wide, area 7.28 hectares). Constructed in the 9th century by Prince Boivoj, the castle transformed itself from a wooden fortress surrounded by earthen bulwarks to the imposing form it has today. Rulers made their own additions so there is a mixture of styles. Prague castle has had four major reconstructions, but it keeps its classical facelift it took on in the 18 century during the reign of Maria Theresa. The castle has three courtyards and it has always been the seat of Czech rulers as well as the official residence. Entrance fees not included. Finals of the Tournament. Overnight in Prague.
8 Enjoy your last day in Prague on your own. Take a boat cruise on the Vltava River or shop the city for souvenirs. Farewell dinner provided by AIST.
