Day 1 –  Saturday – July 9, 2022

  • Depart USA for Ireland with other group members joining the tour

Day 2 –  Sunday – July 10, 2022

  • Arrive Dublin, Ireland
  • Guided tour of the city of Dublin – It is easy to fall for charming, crazy, colorful Dublin. The laid-back Irish capital is a somehow harmonious blend of Victorian pubs, rows of elegant Georgian town houses in silvery stone, and glittering modern buildings. With a permanent population of nearly 1.7 million; more than a third of the Irish people either live in or near this city, which explains the great restaurants, bars, and shopping opportunities. Get ready to have a good time.
  • Check-in at your 4 star hotel Bed and Breakfast near Dublin
  • Welcome dinner with the group
  • Overnight in Dublin – 3 night stay

 Day 3 – Monday – July 11, 2022

  • Breakfast
  • Golf Package: Transfer for your first round of Golf – 18 holes included – The course selected for this day will be updated in the near future.
  • Non-Golf Package: Day trip to Glendalough for a hike in the Wicklow Mountains –  Tucked away amid deep forests and surrounded by rolling hills, this evocative, misty glen is a truly magical place. First established by a monk known as St. Kevin in the 6th century, Glendalough was originally devoted to Christian worship and scholarly learning. Sacked first by the Vikings and later by the English, it was eventually abandoned by the monks who sought refuge here. Those beautiful round towers were actually hideouts with retractable ladders that the monks would pull up after them when the raiders arrived. Most of the buildings were destroyed in repeated attacks, but enough survives to ensure the ruins are a striking and atmospheric spectacle.  (More info available at www.frommers.com)
  • Irish Whiskey Experience –  Located in the heart of Dublin city center, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery is the first operational distillery to open its doors in Dublin in over 125 years. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery is Dublin’s newest destination for whiskey fans or for anyone with an interest in Dublin’s long, historical association with Irish whiskey.  Experience first-hand the sound, smell and feel of a fully operational distillery, as the first Dublin whiskey is distilled for over 40 years.   (Please note, we may use other Irish Whiskey tour experiences)
  • Dinner on your own
  • Overnight in Dublin

Day 4 –  Tuesday – July 12, 2022

  • Breakfast
  • Morning Free to explore Dublin
  • Optional and not included: round of golf
  • Tour of the Guinness Brewery in the afternoon – Entrance included – Self-Guided tour
  • Irish Music and Dance dinner show – Included
  • Overnight in Dublin

Day 5 – Wednesday – July 13, 2022

  • Breakfast
  • Transfer to Dublin Airport for flight to Edinburgh or Glasgow, Scotland (TBA) (Airfare and limited baggage fees Included – economy class seat on Ryanair, Aer Lingus or other available airlines for a nonstop flight)
  • Arrival in Scotland and transfer to Dalmahoy Hotel for Check-in (The Dalmahoy is our preferred hotel but does have limited availability and a non-refundable deposit due to the high demand. If this hotel is unavailable, we will have other similar standard hotels available.)
  • Overnight in Edinburgh

Day 6 – Thursday – July 14, 2022

  • Breakfast
  • Edinburgh Castle visit – Entrance Included –  This is the big gun, sightseeing-wise—literally. The One o’clock gun is fired every day except Sunday from the battlements, a tradition begun in 1861 to give ships navigating the Forth a time check. Then there’s Mons Meg, the 15th-century canon. Edinburgh castle dominates the skyline from its rocky outcrop towering above the jumble of medieval tenements, a brooding presence gazing down over the gracious Georgian New Town. This ancient stronghold has history seeping out of the stonework, with an undeniable “wow” factor.
  • Golf round 2: Dalmahoy Resort West Course –  A perfect complement to its bigger brother, the West Course has an excellent mix of challenging holes which will test your accuracy off the tee and your short game around the greens.
  • Non-Golf: Day trip to Stirling Castle –  There are traces of a 7th-century royal habitation of the Stirling area, and on the right bank of the Forth, Stirling Castle dates from the Middle Ages, when its location, on a dividing line between the Lowlands and the Highlands, made it the key to the Highlands. The castle became an important seat of two kings, James IV and James V, both of whom added to it, the latter following classic Renaissance style, then relatively unknown in Britain. Mary Queen of Scots lived here as an infant monarch for the first 4 years of her life. After its final defeat in 1746, Bonnie Prince Charlie’s army stopped here. Later, the castle became an army barracks and headquarters of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, one of Britain’s most celebrated regiments. An audiovisual presentation explains what you’re about to see.
  • Overnight Edinburgh

Day 7 – Friday – July 15, 2022

  • Breakfast
  • Golf round 3: Dalmahoy Resort East Course –  The East Course has been host to major events such as the Solheim Cup, the Scottish PGA and the Scottish Seniors Open to name a few.  Nicknamed ‘The Beast’ this course is a true challenge for even the very best golfers demanding a combination of raw power and a precise short game to be able to score. The fairways are wide and mostly forgiving (save for a few cunningly placed bunkers by Mr Braid), so you’re able to open the shoulders and really go for it on most tees. The greens are large and receptive, meaning you should have a large target to aim at if you can keep the ball in play off the tee.
  • Non-Golfers: Day trip to Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands – This full-day Scottish Highlands tour takes you on a scenic drive from Edinburgh to the fabled Loch Ness. The journey travels by coach across Rannoch Moor to Glen Coe and through the Great Glen to Fort Augustus, where you’re treated to a locally made picnic lunch. Take an optional boat ride on the legendary loch in search of ‘Nessie’ before the return trip over the Drumochter Pass and through the forests and rivers of Highland Perthshire, with views of the UNESCO-listed Forth Bridge.
  • Edinburgh Whiskey and Cigar Experience
  • Overnight in Edinburgh

 Day 8 – Saturday – July 16, 2022

  • The Open – Day 3:Tickets available for purchase online at www.theopen.com
