Season: 2024-25 (Third Year)
Coaching Achievements: Erica Brown has quickly established herself as a formidable force in women's lacrosse during her tenure at Roanoke College. In her second season, she earned ODAC Coach of the Year honors, leading the Maroons to an impressive 17-5 overall record and an 8-1 mark in ODAC play. Under her guidance, the team made a notable run to the third round of the NCAA Tournament and achieved a milestone with a perfect 10-0 home record—marking the program's first such feat since the early 1990s.
Brown’s efforts have not gone unnoticed; her players have garnered multiple accolades, including two All-Americans, an All-State and ODAC Rookie of the Year, and numerous All-ODAC, All-State, All-Region, and academic honors. Her leadership has fostered a culture of excellence both on and off the field, with 28 players achieving ODAC All-Academic status and multiple IWLCA and CSC Academic All-District selections.
Previous Experience: Before her time at Roanoke, Brown enjoyed a successful decade at Tiffin University, where she achieved a career record of 84-67. During her tenure, the Dragons made eight consecutive conference tournament appearances and clinched the GMAC regular-season championship in 2019 with a flawless 7-0 record. Her standout players, including Elle Hamilton, received multiple accolades, enhancing the program's reputation in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
Brown’s coaching prowess also shone during her tenure at Lycoming College, where she led the team to a 19-17 record, mentoring numerous All-Region and All-Conference players while emphasizing academic achievement.
Playing Career: A standout goalkeeper at Wagner College, Brown ranks among the program's all-time leaders in several statistical categories, including career minutes played and career saves. Her leadership on the field as a co-captain and recognition as one of the top-12 goalies in Division I lacrosse underscore her deep understanding of the game.
Education: Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Wagner College in 2005 and is currently completing her master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Lock Haven University. She is also a certified lacrosse referee, reflecting her commitment to the sport.
